Zombies!

Papier Mache Workshop

 

 

Just because Halloween is over doesn’t mean that you need to forget about your undead friends. A severed zombie head would be the perfect gift for the horror fan in your life or as a special gift to yourself.

 

Join us for three November evenings of icky, sticky, rotted zombie building fun. These classes have proven to be a tremendous amount of fun and most of the students have come back to take additional classes.

 

Participants create their own life-sized severed zombie head using a variety of papier mache techniques and commonly found recycled items.

 

This unique experience is recommended for those 12 years and older. The workshops can be physically demanding requiring participants to stand, kneel,  lift and work in uncomfortable positions. Papier mache can be a bit messy so please dress accordingly. The class uses a variety of non-hazardous materials such as flour, glue and joint compound, as well as latex and acrylic paints.

 

Workshop cost is $100 per person which includes all tools and materials.

 

You are encouraged to bring your own drink and snack. Call (989) 750-6457 to register. Payment is due at the first class. Class size is limited to 8 seats.

Snowmen!

Papier Mache Workshop

 

 

Just because the weather outside is frightful doesn’t mean you can’t build something delightful.

 

Introducing the new STOLLOWEEN Papier Mache Snowman Workshop, your chance to build a large 32 inch tall Snowman, the choice of classic or creepy style is totally up to you.

 

During the workshop you will learn several different papier mache techniques and a variety of methods to create different hats and faces.

 

This unique experience is recommended for those 12 years and older. The workshops can be physically demanding requiring participants to stand, kneel,  lift and work in uncomfortable positions.

 

Papier mache can be a bit messy so please dress accordingly. The class uses a variety of non-hazardous materials such as flour, glue and joint compound, as well as latex and acrylic paints.

 

Workshop cost is $100 per person which includes all tools and materials.

 

You are encouraged to bring your own drink and snack.

Pumpkins

Papier Mache Workshop

This is the last Pumpkin workshop for the 2013 Halloween season!

This is your chance to start building some great Jack O’Lantern props for Halloween. The September Pumpkin Workshop will allow participants to create their own large pumpkin complete with an elaborate carved face of their choosing. Past workshops have proven to be a very fun and enjoyable experience all while learning many different papier mache techniques.

This unique experience is recommended for those 12 years and older. The workshops can be physically demanding requiring participants to stand, kneel, lift and work in uncomfortable positions. Papier mache can be a bit messy so please dress accordingly. The class uses a variety of non-hazardous materials such as flour, glue and joint compound, as well as latex and acrylic paints.

Gargoyles

The biggest and most ambitious workshop ever, fifteen hours of prop building fun as you create a large 28 inch high Gargoyle. Over the course of five evenings you will build a complex armature and work with several different papier mache techniques to make a unique Gargoyle prop.

This workshop will be fun but also note that it will be a lot of work. Up to the challenge? Give us a call.

Introducing the new STOLLOWEEN Papier Mache Tombstone Workshop, your chance to create a large, fully three dimensional and very creepy tombstone. During the workshop you will learn several different papier mache techniques along with methods to make engraved lettering, bevels, skull adornments, ornate designs, crack, spider webs and vines.

Win a STOLLOWEEN Pumpkin!

Attention everyone living in the Midland, Michigan area, now through September 28th you have a chance to win a custom built STOLLOWEEN papier mache pumpkin.

 

Visit Sleepy Hollow Bookshop located at 22 Ashman Circle, Midland, Mi and pick up the rules and entry form.

 

The contest is simple, design a spooktacular pumpkin design and bring it back to the bookshop where it will be displayed and during the week of September 30th the public will vote on their favorite design.

 

The winner will receive a custom papier mache pumpkin based their design!

Gone Batty

Maybe it’s the heat but I went a little batty!

 

Made a few papier mache bats over the last couple of weeks including two large hanging bats complete with a three foot wingspan and five 17 inch high figurines each wrapped in a cloak.
