Whooooo….wants to build an owl?
Join us in our new studio located at 716 George Street in Midland Michigan as we spend four evenings creating some fun papier mache Owls. Goofy or sinister, the choice is yours.
The Owl Work shop will take you from armature construction to paint all within the four week class. You will work with traditional strip mache as well as sculpting with our custom made paper clay. This class is work intensive, the process of adding the feathers is a bit tedious but yields an amazing result. This class will also allow you to create some pretty amazing glass eyes that will bring your owl to life. Whether you are into Halloween or Owls or just learning something new this class will prove to be a fun and creative experience.
This class requires no previous papier mache experience, only a willingness to work hard and follow instructions.
The classes involve a lot of physical activity such as standing, lifting, bending and using you hands to sculpt clay.
All tools and materials are supplied.
The workshops are very casual and designed to allow anyone regardless of artistic talent to complete a finished piece.
Students must be at least 16 years old, if a younger child is interested they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Workshops start at 6 pm sharp with the studio opening 15 minutes prior if you wish to get situated and socialize.
Classes run until approximately 9 pm. (3 hours each)
Feel free to bring a drink and a snack, the studio will provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
The cost is $100 per person which includes a total of 12 hours of studio time plus all materials.

Payment must be made by first night of class.
Class size is limited to 10 seats.
