We are at the “92 days until Halloween” point in the year and for the last couple of weeks it has averaged 92 degrees at least here in Michigan.
This is the time of year where most DIY home haunters kick it into high gear attempting to scratch those items off the to-do-list as quickly as possible.
So as you are hunkered away in the air conditioning remember this….
As you are building your masterpiece(s) keep in mind that The Mad Lab contest is currently underway, you still have plenty of time to build and enter as the deadline is September 21st, 2011.
There are two contests going on simultaneously with each winner receiving a Bucky Skeleton…here’s the best part….chances are good that you are probably already planning on using the required item in your prop.
One contest requires the use of foam:
“Foam is the weapon of choice for the static prop build. This includes, well, pretty much any foam. Great stuff, insulation foam, styrofoam, pool noodles, craft foam, egg shell foam, upholstery foam, foam board, foam packing peanuts…Ok you get the picture.”
The second contest requires the use of a wiper motor:
“Ahhh the wonders of the wiper motor! Whether you are well acquainted or a novice this little device can open a door of haunting possibilities. Hit the salvage lot or head to Monster Guts. Use of a wiper motor is the only SEI requirement for this challenge.”
Pretty cool, thanks Doc for another cool Mad Lab….and did I mention she is giving away two Buckys?
